  2. Do not leave computer visible inside vehicles.
  3. Do not borrow your computer to strangers.

Protection

1. Protect your computer with a user account password.

This will help prevent your data to be easly accesible. To set a user account password you can access your “Control Panel”.

2. Write the serial number.

Having the serial number is crucial and will identify your device anywhere in the world is usually in the form of a  Universal Product Code know as UPC the serial number ”S/N” is usually located at the bottom of your computer you may also find number in you “system information” . This is the information that authorities will ask

3. Take a picture of your laptop

This will help you identify details and description about the computer.

4. Install Anti thef software.

There are software out there that can identify your computer’s location, when is reported missing and email you notifications of the computer’s last wifi connection information, as well as take screen shots of the computer’s current user and also screen shots of the desktop activity.

Parental Controls

You can use Parental Controls to help manage how your children use the computer. For example, you can set limits on your children’s access to the web, the hours that they can log on to the computer, and which games they can play and programs they can run.

When Parental Controls blocks access to a webpage or game, a notification is displayed that the webpage or program has been blocked. Your child can click a link in the notification to request permission for access to that webpage or program. You can allow access by entering your account information.

Before you get started, make sure that each child that you want to set up Parental Controls for has a standard user account because Parental Controls can only be applied to standard user accounts. To set up Parental Controls for your child, you’ll need an Administrator user account. Parental Controls cannot be applied to an Administrator user account. For more information about user accounts and setting them up, see What is a user account?

To turn on Parental Controls for a standard user account

  1. Open Parental Controls by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under User Accounts, clicking Set up Parental Controls.‌ Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  2. Click the standard user account for which you want to set Parental Controls.
  3. Under Parental Controls, click On.
  4. Once you’ve turned on Parental Controls for your child’s standard user account, you can adjust the individual settings that you want to control. You can control the following areas:
    • Web restrictions. You can restrict the websites that children can visit, make sure children only visit age-appropriate websites, indicate whether you want to allow file downloads, and set up which content you want the content filters to block and allow. You can also block or allow specific websites. For more information, see Limit the content that children can view on the web.
    • Time limits. You can set time limits to control when children are allowed to log on to the computer. Time limits prevent children from logging on during the specified hours and, if they are already logged on, they will be automatically logged off. You can set different logon hours for every day of the week. For more information, see Control when children can use the computer.
    • Games. You can control access to games, choose an age rating level, choose the types of content you want to block, and decide whether you want to allow or block unrated or specific games. For more information, see Specify which games children can play.
    • Allow or block specific programs. You can prevent children from running programs that you don’t want them to run. For more information, see Prevent children from using specific programs.

MAC VS PC & Linux Funniest Videos

Should I buy A Mac or a PC? How about a Linux base system?

These questions are common between buyers and users, the battle is endless, the pros and cons among the world’s most popular, fast shifting Operating Systems.

There are many differences, between these platforms including issues related to vulnerability, reliability compatibility, efficiency, accessibility and user friendly interfacing.

PC is commonly associated with vulnerability and reliability issues; it gained such reputation over a long period of time by being exposed to a large amount of maliciously written software specifically written for Windows based computers, among these viruses, malware and spyware, leading to reliability disadvantage, due to the damage and corruption of critical system files.

Mac based computers are commonly known to be incompatible and “limited” to a wide range of Computer Software among these, many games, and custom industrial software, however over the time, they have improved and resolved many of this incompatibility issues and limitations.

Linux or “Ubuntu” base system are bombshells, is decently less common among users, and often underestimated due to the ideal that is “free” however is very powerful and customizable user friendly interface.

Started at his parents garage, with his very close friend, later acquiring PIXAR, reflected his speed and the magic touch for success in every company he acquired.

After keeping his personal struggles confidential, he finally shared with the world the tragic “C” word. After the shockfull news of also having a liver transplant from a 20 year old who had died at a fatal car accident.

His successful carrier literally changed our lives, and the way we live, a non stop shower of amazing products, what in the past looked unreal, and far away to reach, he was able to achieve in his not so short, not so long, life.

Leaving his wife, and four children behind, he fought until the end with responsibility, courage and commitment to contribute and change our world.
